Chloe Bailey brought the internet to its knees yet again with a dynamic and sultry rendition of The Weeknd’s “Earned It.”
The video, posted to social media on April 18, shows Bailey draped in a barely there cream halter top and blue jeans paired with a glossy red lip, capturing viewers through her silky voice and emotive performance. The Beyoncé-mentored vocal prodigy and half of R&B sister duo Chloe x Halle gave fans flawless runs, ethereal falsetto and moves to match.
On Instagram, the cover gained more than a million views and earned the attention of The Weeknd himself, who commented with flame and praise-hand emojis.
The last cover Chloe blessed fans with was an a cappella version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” on Easter. Outside of sharing the occasional serenade, the Grown-ish star spends her free time posting jaw-dropping looks on social media and promoting a culture of self-love and confidence to her fans. The sisters’ latest album, Ungodly Hour, debuted at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 chart and went on to receive two Grammy nominations.
While the sisters maintain their collective social media accounts, both are simultaneously branching out on their own. On April 12, Halle launched Hallelujah Jewelry, an Etsy account dedicated to her handmade, eclectic jewelry pieces. In 15 minutes, the collection sold out, and the younger Bailey sister tweeted, “lol guyss they’re sold out already i’m sorry,” adding, “i make them by myself so it will take me some time to do all of these but then i will open it again and restock lol love you guys sm.”
