Australian sensation The Kid LAROi is teasing a new project, F*ck Love 3, which he says will drop in July. In a series of pics posted on Sunday (June 13), the 17 year-old rapper/singer teased, “JULY! THE WAIT IS OVER. #FUCKLOV3.”
No additional information was available on the project at press time, but the message was accompanied by a series of snaps of LAROi in the studio working with producers including a shirtless Kid leaning in to a laptop alongside Grammy nominee and frequent collaborator Khaled Rohaim (Rihanna, Ariana Grande), as well as another pic of him chilling in the grass and, again shirtless, strumming an electric guitar. On June 1, the rapper announced, “Today… We start album mode… brb.”
LAROi dropped his debut album, F*ck Love, in July 2020, which featured production by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat and features from Juice WRLD and Lil Mosey. A deluxe edition, F*ck Love (Savage), dropped in November, with features from Marshmello, Machine Gun Kelly and YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
On Sunday, he also tweeted the image of an in-process MP3 titled “Same Energy 1st.” LAROi, who recently unveiled a management deal with Scooter Braun, broke a longstanding radio airplay record in his native country when “Without You” entered a 14th non-consecutive week at No. 1 on Australia’s radio airplay chart, beating the 13-week record set by Bernard Fanning in 2005 with “Wish You Well.”
LAROi’s collab with Miley Cyrus on a remake of “Without You” has also had chart success in the U.S., running up to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart back in May.
