Listening to music was one of the ways people coped with an extremely difficult 2020 and so the staff at “Billboard” put together a list of the 100 best songs of the year.
Any song that was released or peaked on the charts in 2020 was eligible . . . although there were exceptions like “Watermelon Sugar” and “Don’t Start Now”, which were left out because they made LAST year’s list.
