Winter is coming again for Sophie Turner.
Just months after “Game of Thrones” has ended, Turner is up against the brutally cold weather once again.
The trailer for her recent project has just dropped, showing a tortured Turner as she tries to navigate being one of two survivors of a horrific plane crash. The two play Jane and Paul (Corey Hawkins), and they must rely on each other if they’re going to make it out of the harsh, wintery conditions alive.
The trailer begins by showing Turner’s character in a rehab or recovery program of sorts. Aiming to go home amidst her battle with what appears to be a pill addiction, Turner’s plane goes down, leaving her and counterpart Hawkins to fend for themselves.
The show will be Turner’s first television venture since starring in the hit HBO show “Game of Thrones.” Back in September, Turner revealed in a statement, “I couldn’t be more honored to portray the role of Jane in ‘Survive’ for Quibi. She’s a complex character fighting against the odds to not only save her life, but to also find her own source of strength and courage.”
“Survive” is based on Alex Morel’s novel of the same name and will be available when new streaming service Quibi launches on April 6. It’s a mobile-based service that carries episodes running only 10 minutes or less.
The service, which specializes in “quick bites” of content, has onboarded A-listers like Liam Hemsworth, Anna Kendrick, and Kevin Hart.
