After weeks of teasing, Niall Horan and Anne-Marie revealed on Thursday morning (May 13) that their long-promised collaboration, “Our Song,” is seriously almost here.
“It’s finally happening!” Horan tweeted along with a 10-second snippet of the yearning pop tune and a shot of the two singers staring down the lens while chilling in the woods.
“Just when I think you’re gone/ Hear our song on the radio,” Anne-Marie sings over an acoustic guitar in the preview. “Just like that, takes me back to the places we used to go,” Horan sings in response. According to the tweet, the song is due out next Friday (May 21).
“Ciao” singer Anne-Marie got in on the action too, tweeting, “WE’VE KEPT YOU WAITING LONG ENOUGH!! ‘Our Song’ with one of my favourite humans @NiallOfficial is coming NEXT FRIDAY!!!!!! Ahhhhhhh CAN’T WAIT FOR YOU TO HEAR IT.” The singer-songwriter has a deep bench of collabs with other artists, including a handful this year with KSI and Digital Farm Animals (“Don’t Play”), as well as Nathan Dawe and MoStack (“Way Too Long”) and JJ Lin (“Bedroom”).
Back in November, Horan dropped the dreamy “Moral of the Story” duet with Ashe, and “Our Song” will be his first new music of 2021.
