You may think you love diamonds. But you do not. Not nearly as much as Lil Uzi Vert. There’s absolutely no fighting this, so don’t even try.
Last week, Lil Uzi — real name Symere Woods — announced that he spent the past four years paying off a huge $24 million pink diamond and planned to have it implanted directly into his forehead. Now, he’s made good on that promise.
The 26-year-old Philly rapper known for his eccentric fashion as well as his music captioned his revelatory video simply, “Beauty is Pain” while also showing off ice on his hand and ears.
The diamond designed by Elliot Eliantte is said to weigh between 10 and 11 carats and apparently cost Uzi more than all of his cars and home put together. As for how he’s attached it to his face, we’re guessing it’s attached to a piercing or some really good double-sided tape.
Responding to a fan who asked why he wouldn’t just embed the diamond into a wearable piece of jewelry, he coyly responded: “If I lose the ring yeah U will make fun of me more than putting it in my forehead ha ha jokes on you ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha… And yes I do have insurance.”
