Liam Payne from One Direction is almost six months sober after spending 100 days in a rehab facility in Louisiana. He posted an 8-minute update on YouTube thanking fans for sticking by him.
Liam says, quote, “I just kind of feel like I’ve got more of a grip on life and everything that was getting away from me . . .
“I kind of became somebody who I didn’t really recognize anymore. And I’m sure you guys didn’t either. I was in bad shape up until that point and I was really happy to kind of put a stopper to life and work.”
He also acknowledged last year’s Logan Paul interview where he made negative comments about his former bandmates. He said a lot of what he said came from the wrong place and being frustrated with himself.
Liam is headed to South America in September. No word when he’ll be touring the U.S.
