Once again, Lady Gaga has had to postpone her “Chromatica Ball” tour, making it the second time she’s bumped the tour to a later.
Now taking place in 2022, Gaga explained, “while some parts of the world are moving quickly to open up, others are not yet ready. So until we can confirm all global dates, we have to postpone The Chromatica Ball shows to the summer of 2022.”
Initially announced on March 5, 2020, the month-long tour was set to be a six-city, arena presentation from July 25 to August 27. The tour would kick off in Paris, France, and was followed by stops in London, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, and New Jersey.
There were several days planned between each tour date, presumably because of a massive production that would require days to assemble, breakdown and transport.
Initially, with the onset of the pandemic, the tour dates were pushed to 2021. With no official 2022 dates released yet, Ticketmaster has the event listed as “postponed” until rescheduled dates are announced.
The tour props up Gaga’s sixth studio album, Chromatica, which also saw a delay in release when the pandemic hit. The album didn’t arrive until May 2020.
All previously purchased tickets for the “Chromatica Ball” are set to be honored for the rescheduled tour dates.
