Kevin Costner’s wife of 18 years, designer Christine Baumgartner, filed for divorce.
There’s no word what led to the split, she’s just claiming “irreconcilable differences”. She’s also not asking for spousal support, but there’s a prenup, so she’s obviously getting something.
This was Kevin’s second marriage. He and Christine share three children, ages 12, 14, and 15. They’re both asking for joint custody.
A rep for Kevin said, quote, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action . . .
“We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”
