John Legend and Kane Brown teamed up for their stirring collaboration, “Last Time I Say Sorry,” and now the stunning ballad has a music video.
The black-and-white vignette shows the crooners in the comfort of their own homes, recording their own segments of the video on iPhone (Brown) and Google pixel/MacBook (Legend) while quarantined.
“We just started talking about our relationships…usually the guys in the relationship will say sorry and then turn around and do it again, and me and John were both like, that’s the worst feeling in the world…” Brown told Gayle King on CBS This Morning. The lyrics fit the sentiment, with the chorus proclaiming: “I won’t do it again, I’ll prove my love is true / I hope the last time I said sorry / Is the last time I’ll say sorry to you.”
The duo will perform the song live for the first time together on ACM Presents: Our Country on Sunday (April 5) at 8 p.m. EST/PST on CBS.
