You better believe Boyz II Menorah are lit.
Move over Adam Sandler, there’s a new Hanukkah anthem to spin this year.
On Thursday night’s (Dec. 19) Late Late Show James Corden assembled the ultimate festival of lights boy band, Boyz II Menorah, to debut their season-appropriate original song, “A Week and a Day.” With Charlie Puth, Josh Peck, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and bad boy Zach Braff in the house, the group paid homage to the Jewish celebration with a smooth-as-Manischewitz R&B ballad that is sure to spark up all your candles.
“Girl, it’s that special time of year/ The Festival of Lights/ But ain’t no light shine brighter than the one in your eyes,” Corden whisper-sang while rocking a sleeveless white hoodie. “Got a week and a day of love this Hanukkah, girl,” crooned Drake and Josh star Peck, with Mintz-Plasse adding, “got a week and a day to show you how much I care.”
“Got a week and a day of presents for a girl shines brighter than any menorah,” sang Puth in a silky falsetto, as Braff busted into frame, white jean jacket wide open to display his Jewish star, singing, “when you light the candles, baby, I wanna be there.” Dancing around a giant dreidel, rolling oversized chocolate gelt and busting out classic boy band choreo as they count down the presents, Boyz II Menorah get the holiday — which starts on Sunday night (Dec. 22) — totally lit.
