Christmas came early this year for Halsey after receiving a very special — and sparkly — gift from her friends and musical collaborators in BTS.
In episode five of her “Road to Manic” series on YouTube, the 25-year-old singer shared a sweet memory from earlier this year when the seven-piece K-pop sensation gave her a special present after an early performance of their collaborative single “Boy With Luv.”
“So the first time we ever performed ‘Boy with Luv’ together, I was making a joke that they all had like sparkly microphones and I felt left out, and they gifted me my own sparkly mic,” Halsey recalls in the clip. “It was really thoughtful, really amazing, and I got to use it.”
In the video, Halsey can’t contain her excitement after opening a personalized case containing a sparkly microphone just like the ones her BTS pals use on stage.
“Boy With Luv,” which dropped in April, is featured on BTS’ latest album, Map of the Soul: Persona. Two months later, the single was certified platinum by Recording Industry of America.
