Okay, okay, in all seriousness, Selena Gomez is always gushing about things she loves in interviews and on social media. Whether it’s her famous pals, fellow artists she likes, television shows or random hobbies, the star is quick to go on a hilarious tangent about her interests.
We have decided that we love Gomez’s passions so much, we’ll compile them in a list. See some of SG’s favorite things below.
Billie Eilish
When Gomez dialed in to chat with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, she mentioned an artist she’s been listening to while in quarantine is Billie Eilish, particularly her poignant “Everything I Wanted” tune.
“I just sobbed because I’ve been doing this for so long and it’s like, damn, that’s so true,” she said. “There’s so many moments where I was just like, ‘Oh, it doesn’t matter who you are.’ There’s moments in my life that’s like ‘is this it?’ She deserved every single thing that she got and has. She’s an amazing, amazing artist.”
Rihanna
In the same interview, Gomez revealed that BadGal RiRi is one of her favorite artists. “All I’m going to say is from the get go, I’ve been a Rihanna fan,” she said. “‘SOS’ to now. So there isn’t any real moment that it isn’t gold, but ‘Love on the Brain,’ and when she performed that live, I think that’s one of the greatest songs of our time. I just think that the way she sings that song…”
“I have a whole book in there dedicated to Rihanna in my living room,” she continued.
Taylor Swift
Obviously, Selena and Taylor are best friends, but Gomez takes any opportunity to shower her BFF with affection and compliments.
“There’s so much of my friendship with Taylor that people don’t know about because we don’t necessarily feel the need to post about everything we do,” Gomez told WSJ. Magazine. “She has showed up for me in ways that I would have never expected. Flown in because I was hurt and was going through something. Stuff that was going on with my family. It’s been proven year after year and in every moment of my life that she is one of my best friends in the world. We don’t agree on everything, but we respect each other with everything.”
“Head’s Up!”
In her installment of Vogue‘s “73 Questions,” Gomez mentioned her love for Ellen DeGeneres’ party game two separate times. She replied that the game is something she “finds herself doing a lot these days,” and it’s also her “current obsession.”
Alice in Wonderland
Later on in the “73 questions” interview, she mentioned that the Mad Hatter is a fictional character she’d want to spend the day with, and Wonderland is the fictional land she’d love to live in.
True Crime
She loves it so much, she attended CrimeCon to help solve a real-life cold case: The unsolved murder of Kurt Sova, who disappeared in 1981 after he went to a party in Cleveland’s suburbs. His body was found five days later.
Flamin’ Hot Cheetos
Whether it’s pizza, Subway sandwiches or Redbull, Gomez loves a good junk food snack. Her go-to is Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, which she has gushed over a number of times, especially on Instagram. She once told E! that her tour rider is “pretty simple,” including “plenty of water and pickles.”
On the tour bus, “Hot Cheetos and chocolate are staples.”
Shark Tank
When discussing her new Rare Beauty line with Kelly Clarkson, she mentioned her love for the innovator-friendly show. “One episode, and you’re never going to go back.”
“All of a sudden, I think I’m them,” she joked. “Like I would try to just chime in as if I knew anything. I realized I own half the things they’ve created.”
Friends
It’s no surprise that Gomez’s ultimate favorite thing is the television show, Friends. When she sat down with Jennifer Aniston on Ellen, the pop star could not hide her excitement.
“First off, are you guys kidding me? Rachel was my life!” she said. “You know what makes me so happy? I would watch it on channel 33 at 10:30 every night on Thursday with my mom. I cried when the whole season was over, but what made me so happy is that people my age and everyone else is just as obsessed.”
