The viral “Broom Challenge” swept the internet on Monday (Feb. 10) and everyone from Chrissy Teigen to Paula Abdul got in on the fun.
Despite the debunked claim that NASA said Monday was the only day a broom could stand upright due to a unique confulence of events tied to the Earth’s gravitational pull, celebs couldn’t resist showing off the not-so-scientific trick across social media. “Pajama broom challenge. What are you doing on a Monday night?!” a PJ-clad Abdul tweeted alongside a video of herself dancing before knocking over her broom.
Meanwhile, after being urged by her millions of followers to try the challenge, Teigen hilariously tweeted, “I have a Thai broom. It does not balance,” before sending a hilarious apology for her refusal to try. “I’m sorry,” the supermodel tweeted. “I got caught up in the heat of the moment and didn’t stop to think that the broom thing makes you happy, and that makes me happy. U may send me your brooms and again I apologize.”
