Cardi B’s coronavirus rant took the internet by storm with a catchy remix from DJ iMarkkeyz and it seems the two are donating the proceeds to those in need.
In case you haven’t noticed, the remix to the rapper’s off the cuff rank took iTunes and social media platforms by storm. “The fact this damn corona virus song is charting on iTunes ….Hold on ..let me hit the Dj up and Atlantic so I can’t get my damn coins,” she wrote on Instagram on Tuesday (March 17). Thankfully, those coins are heading to those in need amid the coronavirus outbreak.
One inquisitive fan asked if the two would consider donating part of the proceeds to food banks since they’re receiving royalties off the viral hit. While DJ iMarkkeyz admitting that was his “goal” from the beginning of the track’s conception, Bardi appeared to be on board as well. “YES! THATS WHAT WE GOING TO DO!” she replied “Keep in mind you don’t get your money right away …but even months from now there would be families with financial issues for getting laid off due to the virus .We will Donate !”
