Billie Eilish appears in "Same Interview, Fourth Year" on Vanity Fair

Billie Eilish Is Back for Year Four of That ‘Vanity Fair’ Interview

Since Billie Eilish last did her annual Vanity Fair interview, the superstar won five Grammys, kicked off a world tour before the coronavirus pandemic shut down live music and became a massive social justice activist.

The star recently sat down for year four of the same interview she did in 2017, 2018 and 2019, and she joked, “I’m doing this s— until I’m 90, so get ready for it.”

In 2019, a younger Eilish pondered what would be different a year from then. “Girl, please!” the singer exclaimed with a cackle after hearing her response. “Talk about what’s gonna change? What’s gonna be different in a year?” she added, referring to the pandemic.

“Definitely not where I thought I’d be currently, but also not mad at it,” she continued. “I’m very, very lucky to have had this year play out the way it did because for a lot of people, it was literal hell and I am very aware that I’ve been very blessed for the fortune I had this year.”

A year ago, Eilish also asked for 100 days off. “B—-, you got what you wished for! You happy? Because damn,” she shared in 2020. “This is the most amount of time off that I’ve had in five years.”

As for what she accomplished this year, besides her obvious career successes, Eilish also reflected on how much she has grown in caring for other people. “We went to tons of protests, we fought for people,” she shared. “That was a big thing this year too, huge accomplishment. We will never stop fighting. I will never stop fighting for you Breonna, I will never stop fighting for all the black and brown people who have lost their lives to police brutality and literally just racism. I’ll never stop fighting for you ever, ever, ever.”
