Sarah Jessica Parker dropped in on her fans this Tuesday to let them know that the return of Carrie Bradshaw and Co. is not far away.
Parker announced in a video that she said she recorded on Fifth Avenue that the reboot series “And Just Like That…” is due on HBO Max this December. The exact date in December isn’t out just yet.
“Shooting as we speak the next chapter of ‘Sex and The City’ … with some beloved friends,” said Parker in the video announcement.
Some of the first looks at the upcoming series dropped just weeks ago in a “New on HBO Max” trailer, albeit only showing a few seconds of Bradshaw, Charlotte York, Miranda Hobbes and Mr. Big.
During the 2021 Emmy Awards, HBO Max gave fans a glimpse of the reboot while releasing a new ad featuring the upcoming shows on its platforms.
In the preview, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon are seen standing next to each other at an event. When the best friends notice someone, Parker then waves and says hello. Eventually, the footage shows Parker and Chris Noth kissing and dancing in a kitchen.

HBO has billed “And Just Like That” as the show’s characters “navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.”
The reboot’s filming was rocked by the news of the death of Willie Garson, known on-screen to show fans Stanford Blatch. He passed at 57 after a battle with pancreatic cancer on Sept. 21.
According to HBO, Garson will make a posthumous appearance in the series.
“Sex and the City” fans may notice the absence of Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones, the high-powered PR maven who rounded out the original series’ quartet of leads, but while Cattrall won’t be back for the reboot, Nicole Ari Parker has joined the cast in her stead.
The 50-year-old actress best-known for her roles on “Empire” and “Chicago PD,” along with the 1997 film “Boogie Nights,” will play Lisa Todd Wexley, a Park Avenue mother of three and a documentarian.
“Grey’s Anatomy” alum Sara Ramirez has also been tapped to appear in the new iteration and will play Che Diaz, a non-binary, queer stand-up comedian.
