Halsey and Marshmello have shared the dreamy video for their emotional new EDM collaboration “Be Kind.”
The surreal clip, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, features the pink-haired singer traversing three different worlds. She begins her journey in a dreary abandoned stone building before escaping to a colorful cityscape with cherry blossoms galore. Dressed in a light blue crop top and yellow skirt, she then enters a beautiful flower-filled park with rolling hills in the background.
The smiley-faced DJ and producer makes cameos throughout the three-minute video, first appearing subtly on a flower and later while strangely observing Halsey through a robotic camera at the closing.
Filmed during the coronavirus lockdown, Halsey — who gracefully dances throughout the clip — was forced to learn the choreography through FaceTime, according to a news release.
“Be Kind” dropped in early May and is ‘Mello’s followup to “Been Thru This Before” with Southside and Saint Jhn, which arrived in April.
