Rita Wilson performed for the first time since recovering from coronavirus.
The singer sang the national anthem for NASCAR’s virtual iRacing Pro Invitational Series Race through a video, reported Entertainment Weekly. Wilson dressed up in patriotic colors for the performance while wearing a red jacket, red blouse, and a blue scarf. She was filmed by her son Truman Hanks from their Los Angeles home.
EW reported the NASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series was held online for drivers from the NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series, ARCA, the NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series, and the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.
At the end of March, Tom Hanks and his wife returned to America after testing positive for coronavirus over two weeks ago. The couple was spotted driving around Los Angeles. In a photo, Hanks could be seen flashing a big smile while behind the wheel of a Range Rover.
Hanks confirmed his return on Twitter writing, “Hey, Folks… We’re home now and, like the rest of America, we carry on with sheltering in place and social distancing. Many, many thanks to everyone in Australia who looked after us. Their care and guidance made possible our return to the USA. And many thanks to all of you who reached out with well wishes. Rita and I so appreciate it. Hanx.”
On March 11, Hanks and Wilson became one of the first celebrities to announce they had tested positive for COVID-19. Several days after, Wilson and Hanks were released from the hospital and began self-isolating in a rented home.
