Amanda Bynes is pregnant.
On Tuesday night (March 17), the child star announced she and her fiance Paul Michael are expecting their first child together. Bynes revealed the news in a since-deleted Instagram post in which she shared a picture of her ultrasound, writing, “Baby on board!” Taking to his own Instagram account, Michael shared the same picture, captioning it, “Baby in the making.” Both snaps have since been deleted.
“It’s true,” a source told E! News of the 33-year-old’s pregnancy. “She’s very, very early. Her parents know.”
The sudden news comes over a month after the retired actress and her lover announced their engagement on Valentine’s Day (February 14).
“Engaged to tha love of my life,” the Easy A star captioned the celebratory photo at the time before erasing the image from her Instagram feed. Despite reports of the couple allegedly breaking up three weeks later, Bynes and Michael appeared to dispel breakup rumors when the two were pictured in a sweet selfie together on the Nickelodeon alum’s social media.
Michael spoke exclusively with Page Six about the situation earlier this month, claiming the couple’s Instagram accounts had been hacked. “Both of our instas got hacked and someone deleted our pictures and sent dms saying we broke up. We never broke up and weren’t able to log into our instagrams until last night,” Michael told the outlet. Adding of his fiancee’s well-being, he said, “She’s doing really well, besides anxiety and trauma.”
Last we heard, following a March 5 conservatorship hearing between the couple and Bynes’ parents, a judge ordered the She’s the Man star to be placed into a psychiatric facility. Bynes initially agreed to these terms but when it was time to check-in, she was nowhere to be found. At the time it was alleged the star had refused to cooperate.
Concerning her health, Bynes’ attorney, David A. Esquibias, provided E! News the following statement: “Any reports that Amanda is suffering from drug or alcohol addiction issues are completely false. She is seeking treatment for ongoing mental health issues. We ask for privacy during this time, and for any speculation about her personal life from the public and the media to cease so Amanda can focus on getting better.”
