Kylo Ren himself, Adam Driver, will be the host on the Jan. 25 episode of the show.
The first new 2020 episode of Saturday Night Live will feature a killer combo. In the wind-up to Saturday’s triumphant return of former star Eddie Murphy after a 35-year break, SNL announced that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker star Adam Driver hosting and Halsey on board as the musical guest.
Driver is closing out 2019 with a raft of projects, from the final chapter of the Star Wars saga to the intense Noah Baumbach-directed drama Marriage Story and the CIA drama The Report.
It’s the third time hosting for Driver and the third go-round for Halsey as well, who hosted and performed on the show in February and playe SNL for the first time in 2018.
Halsey will take the 8H stage a week after the release of her upcoming third album, Manic (Jan. 17), which will feature guest spots from BTS’ Suga, Dominic Fike and Alanis Morissette. So far, fans have already heard the songs “Without Me,” “Nightmare,” “Graveyard” and “Clementine” from the 16-track follow-up to 2017’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom.
